Evaluation question 4: Elliot, Olivia and Beth

Who would be your target audience for your product

We found a creative way to present question 4 was using a green screen.
We used a Tripod and Panasonic camera to film us at the oscars answering an interviewer. Our evaluation question was edited on Final Cut Pro. We got an image from the Internet of a red carpet and placed it onto the green screen. This was our first time using and we found it to be very successful.

Evaluation Question 1: Olivia and Beth

Deadly Deception Opening Sequence

Task 14 Production Company Logo Olivia

To get inspiration for our production company logo we looked at big film company logos. We noticed that they are all very bold and clear. The logos that we looked at were very easy to read and a lot of them moved. We like the way that you know what the company is by looking at their logo. We looked at Disney, Paramount, Pixar and MGM.

This is our logo, we have called our company 'Blink Studios'. We have called our logo 'Blink Studios' as we feel that it is short and snappy. It is easy to remember and we feel like it is quite effective. We also linked our logo to our opening sequence. We feel our logo and opening sequence go well together because what happened in our opening sequence - someone getting shot - happened in a blink of an eye. The victim did not know who the killer was as she had had no previous arguments or had not got herself into any trouble. So it was all very unexpected and happened in a blink of an eye.

To produce our logo we used the software iMovie. We firstly filmed Beth blinking using a hand-held camera. We then uploaded the footage onto the software. Once the footage was on the software we cropped it down so we literally just the eye blinking. We then decided to make the logo black and white as we felt it looked more professional and effective. It also gave the logo a mysterious feel. We then inserted text to write 'Blink Studios'. We made the font thin for 'Blink' and thicker for 'Studios'. We liked the way this looked as it gave a sophisticated feel. We then thought it would be good to have the text sliding on and off the screen. We chose an effect from the software that had the text sliding in and slowing down as it reached the eye blinking and then sliding off again.
